The Anti-Bomb Squad of Nigeria’s Enugu State Police Command has evacuated two unexploded ordinance that were abandoned during the Nigerian Civil War at Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo LGA of the state.The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, disclosed this in Enugu on Friday.
He said that the two unexploded ordinance were discovered on Wednesday by road construction workers digging gutters in the community.
Amaraizu said the two unexploded ordinance also known as ”UXO” were alleged to have been used during the civil war.
He said that men of the command’s Anti-bomb squad that visited the scene on Thursday evacuated the remnants of the ordnance for necessary analysis.
