Bornu State deputy governor,Shehu of Bornu escape death as suicide bomber strikes

A suicide bomber blew himself up in Maiduguri near the Central Mosque in the capital city of Borno State, killing himself and at least five others.
 Among the dignitaries that were observing Friday Jumat  prayers at the mosque were Deputy Governor Zannah Mustaphar and the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Kyari. They both were evacuated alive after the attack. It is not yet clear if any was injured.
Several other people were injured in the attack, and have been taken to nearby hospitals.
