IMSU vows to release names of CULTIST
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bright Nwoke of Imo state university Nigeria’s Imo State University, Owerri, on Monday said it would release the names of students to be expelled from the institution for cult activities and examination malpractice. He told newsmen in Owerri that the decision followed the adoption of the report of the Senate Disciplinary Committee on cultism and examination malpractice in the institution.
So far names of 30 students has been forwarded by the management for investigation by the committee.
The vice chancellor stressed on the high incidence of cultism in the institution and vowed to deal decisively with the situation.
“My administration will not tolerate cult activities, because the main purpose of being to school is academic work,” he said.
He pledged to pardon cult members who openly denounce the act.
Nwoke urged parents and guardians to always monitor their children and discipline them when necessary.
