President Jonathan appoints new Senior Special Assistant on public Affairs

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday appointed Dr Doyin Okupe,a medical doctor and former spokesman to former President Olusegun Obasanjo as its new Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs.
This is coming on the heels of various criticism on the handling of the information of the Presidency by his Media Special Adviser ,Dr Reuben Abati.
Feelers from the villa stated that the Presidency is not happy with the various negative bashing it has been getting from the media of late and needs a much more experienced and combatant information manager to handle its image.
Dr Abati is seen as very compromising
on issues and less proactive on defending issues that has to do with the image of the president.
The recent bashing of the First lady Dame Patience Godluck Jonathan on the hosting of the African First Ladies conference seems to have been the last have been the last straw that broke the Carmel’s back
